Da Yea Oh, a researcher at Harvard University visited MOMODa FOUNDATION on 13 July 2019 to observe the aftermath of the flood and help oversee hand washing behaviors of children in schools. Improved hygiene practices have direct links with the reduction of many waterborne diseases. Simple practices of washing hands with soaps have proven impacts on health outcomes. In this regard, she has visited many schools and had meetings with the school management team as well as teachers. She completed a pilot project with MOMODa FOUNDATION and confirmed to launch of the “Spillover Effects of Hand Washing Behaviors in Children” project. She left Bangladesh on 07 August 2019. During her second visit from 31 August 2019 to 23 September 201, she also interviewed household beneficiaries of the project titled “Spillover Effects of Hand Washing Behaviors in Children”. She has observed the total scenario of the research procedure and discussed the field findings with the research team of the Project Office. The Chairperson and Executive Director had a fruitful closing meeting with Da Yea OH
