Prof. Dr. Atonu Rabbani is an Associate Professor of economics at the University of Dhaka and a senior research fellow at the James P. Grant School of Public Health at BRAC University1. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Chicago and has published many papers on impact evaluation, labour economics, health economics, and applied microeconomics. He is also involved in several research projects related to the ready-made garment sector in Bangladesh, such as assessing the spatial accessibility of microfinance, evaluating the market for training services, and exploring the challenges of change for women managers. He is a member of various academic and professional organizations, such as the Economic Research Group, the Urban Services Initiative, and the International Growth Centre.
