Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin

Prof. Dr. ASM Shihavuddin is currently the Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the Green University of Bangladesh. Previously he worked at the Independent University of Bangladesh and at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

He was a Postdoctoral fellow in the Ecole Normale Superieure (ENS), Paris working with the Institute of Biology under the computational bioinformatics group. The main area of his research is developing tools for automated analysis of neuro-cellular images and post-analysis of extracted data. He has worked as an Assistant professor at the Islamic University of Technology (IUT) for more than 3 years.

He has finished his master’s from the Erasmus Mundus VIBOT program and a doctorate from Universitat De Girona (UDG) in machine learning and image processing. His area of expertise comprises data mining, statistical analysis, and automation.
